An Invitation to Bay View Artists and Crafts Persons–November 16 Exhibit

Edna’s Neighbors invite Bay View visual artists and crafts persons to share your work and talents on Saturday, November 16, from 4 to 7 PM at the Padilla Bay Interpretive Center. Entitled"More than Mudflats: Art in Bay View", the evening will begin with a presentation by Bay View artist Kris Molesworth, followed by viewing of the items exhibited and talking with the artists.

We are seeking art and crafts of all kinds by Bay View residents for this first-ever community event: painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, all varieties of needlework, sculpture, metalwork, bookmaking, woodworking, flower-arranging, carving, calligraphy, basket making, paper crafts, and more.

Entries are on a first come-basis. We expect to have gallery space for 30 participants, allowing one to three large pieces or three to five small pieces per person. This is not a sale, although participants may include contact info in their display. The focus is art and crafts by adults.

The note we sent in August captured the interest of several people, including a quilter, knitter, doll clothes maker, embroiderer, collage artist and painter! You talented folks are out there so don’t be shy! Spread the word to other Bay View residents you know who might like to be part of this exciting hometown event.

Please respond to this email by October 1 if you wish to participate, noting your area of interest and sending a photo of your work if possible. If you know of someone who would like to participate who does not have e-mail or if you have questions, call Mary Heath at 707-0588.

Thanks so much. We look forward to seeing all the known and hidden creativity and talent in Bay View!
